Skyler Lutes Reimagines Weezer’s ‘Blue Album’ in Upcoming Cover EP

Skyler Lutes will be taking his unique take on Weezer’s ‘Blue Album’ in an October 30th release of a cover EP by the same name. Skyler, a San Diego Native, has toured the Americas, entertaining crowds in small venues and massive festivals alike.

Skyler Lutes is a multi-instrumentalist whose unique surf-rock guitar and melodic vocals give him a Southern California feel-good beachside sound that moves crowds in both solo performances as well as with his entire band. In addition to playing drums, guitar, bass and keys Skyler is at home in the studio, having been heavily involved in production work for years. The young musician has worked with a number of bands in the booth including the Makua Rothman Band, The Frets, the Pacific Beach Indie Rockers and the Defamation League.

Skyler Lutes career in music started early, “I started my first band in seventh grade,” he explained. “As kids, my friends and I would surf all day then play music into the night. I feel surfing and living in San Diego’s Ocean Beach neighborhood is a huge part of why my music sounds the way it does.”

Tyler’s release of his cover album of Weezer’s ‘Blue Album’ follows his last EP, Tidelines (2018). His entire discography building on three prior collections: the all acoustic debut, One Thousand Hours EP (2013), a self-titled album he released in 2015 and his highly-acclaimed After the Rain (2017) album.

Tyler Lutes has shared the spotlight with supergroups like Through The Roots, Shwayze, The Ataris, Switchfoot, Aaron Carter, Pepper, Hawthorne Heights, Mickey Avalon, and dozens of regional favorites.
