Friday night brought in the 1st day of March 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. Arriving a little earlier than your normal crowd at The Cowan, you could see an already fully formed line from the entry door all the way down the building and to the back of the venue parking lot. People were lined up and eager to see a feature packed, energy driven, neck breaking rock show featuring three of the most entertaining acts of the year so far. Savage After Midnight, followed by He Is Legend, and headliner Memphis May Fire.
The stage was already packed to the front as Savage After Midnight opened the show. Playing some of their best tracks including 10 feet tall and debuting a new track never heard before, they proved that they are staying true to their visions on their music and path for the future. They had the crowd jumping, moshing, giving fist bumps to the front row, and even getting everyone singing a heavier cover of Alanis Morisette’s ‘You Outta Know’.
He Is Legend followed up rocking the house as they always do. The crowd was dancing and moshing through the whole set as Schuylar Croom lead the group with popular tracks such as ‘White Bat’ and ‘Air Raid’.
Coming out to finish out the night came front man Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire charging his way to the front of the stage delivering a classic in your face metal show opener. The house was immediately raging of energy smashing people around, screaming lyrics to the top of their lungs, and moshing in a pit three quarters the size of the room as if it was an all you can drink Red Bull extravaganza in Nashville and Memphis May Fire was the caffeine driving to the crash. MMF played some throw back fan favorites as well as many off their new album ‘Broken’. The night finished strong and people came down off the rush. All you could hear as fans left the building was constant praise on how amazing the show was as well as a line up of three that were as perfect as could be. This was a rock show that will be remembered in all of their minds for many to come.
