Event Recap – Allman Family Revival – The Factory
5 years ago, Devon Allman started to invite his closest, and extremely talented, friends onstage to play for one night in celebration of musical legend Gregg Allman. After that first year, the show has expanded for more nights throughout the entire United States This year they have expanded that one night into 19 dates to celebrate Gregg Allman.
To get the tour started, the Allman Family Revival played at The Factory in St. Louis, Missouri. The show started with St. Louis’s own River Kittens who was just recently signed by Devon Allman’s label “Create Records” – As they got the crowd ready for a night of entertainment.

When you first see chairs throughout a venue, you don’t expect that the crowd will be upon their feet, but this wasn’t the case at all for Saturday night’s performance. As The Allman Betts Band took the stage, fans of all ages got out of their chairs to start dancing and singing along. Throughout the entire show, Devon would bring out musical guests from Joanne Shaw Taylor to Donavon Frankenreiter playing hit Allman Brothers Band songs as the night went on.

As the show came to an end, more musical friends of Allman’s would come out on stage including the one and only Eric Gales. Now, if you have never heard of Eric Gales, then shame on you. One way to describe Gales playing is that it’s out of this world and can’t be completely understood how someone can play like that, but I will say, you will not be disappointed.
As the Allman Family Revival continues to play to thousands of fans until the end of 2021, there is no better way to end the tour on December 31 than the birthplace and home to The Allman Brother’s Band in Macon, Georgia.
If you haven’t bought your tickets for the Allman Family Revival, then you should today.
