BENEFIT SHOW RAINBOW KITTEN SURPRISE AT MARATHON MUSIC WORKS NASHVILLE, TN APRIL 17TH 2019

It was a night of giving. When Rainbow Kitten Surprise heard that a tragic house fire took everything from a close friend and his fiance, they knew they had to step up and help out. They did what they do best: they threw a party. A big party. And they invited everyone to come…for free. They were able to pull off the event on short notice with a little help from some fitting friends.

Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire sponsored the event, and the Nashville Fire Department greeted everyone at the door. As fans entered the venue, they encountered firefighters with boots in hand to collect donations. The line to get into Marathon Music Works was still well down the street. Even 15 minutes prior to show time. The Nashville Fire Department Pipes and Drums started off the entertainment. Marching through the crowd, winding their way onto the stage was an amazing site!

Shortly after, Rainbow Kitten Surprise took the stage to a packed house of cheering fans ready to dance. The fans were not disappointed. Rainbow Kitten Surprise treated the Nashville faithful to a full set. This coming just a few months after their sold out 2 night stand at the Ryman.

It seemed as if the entire crowd knew every word to every song. Between songs, lead singer Sam Melo gave a shout out to the Nashville Fire Department, gave a short explanation of what the show was for, and noted that all the donations and merchandise sales would benefit their friends who suffered from the fire.  The band sang on, the crowd sang back, dancing in the spirit of giving and friendship.
