Stick Figure

Nashvilles Night of Reggae @ Marathon Music Works.

This has been a highly anticipated night for the Nashville Reggae scene. Stick Figure came in to share the stage with The Elovaters and Roots of a Rebellion. Who could argue for better time than the beginning of spring with a lot of rain and blooming flowers?

The Elovaters
The Elovaters

The guys straight out of Boston known as The Elovaters, started the night with their uplifting American Reggae grooves that could get any crowd moving. They had the style and flow that would help you with positivity and good vibes to any negative notion you may have going on.

Roots of a Rebellion

Our very own Nashville Reggae band, Roots of a Rebellion (ROAR) helped bring out the local scene for this one. They have been able to build a following with their Reggae Rock that has helped encourage them to push further extremes and reach new heights. The crowd soaked up the few songs off their new up coming album “Shapes of a Soul” and left them pumped up and loud for Stick Figure to hit the stage.

Cocoa of Stick Figure

With moments before Stick Figure’s set was to began, Cocoa graced us with her presence. When she saw the balloons the crowd was bouncing around she made herself clear, she wanted in on the action. Although, I think she just wanted to pop them all! When the band came out, she stayed with them to rock it out. You could tell this is something they have been doing for a while. The production with the lights gave the crowd something even more to rave about. After all, this was definitely who everyone came for. With their Dub Reggae pumping through your body there was no way you couldn’t get into it.

This was a beautiful night of smiles, dancing and laughter that brought warmth to this windy and cold night.

The next time you can catch them together is at Cali Roots on the west coast May 24th -26th.

-One Love.
